Dungeon Crawler

During my summer break, I participated in the George Mason Game & Technology Academy Course.

There were many resources provided to us for the duration of this course and helped us develop different genres of games, fundamental elements and mechanics that players would expect to see in games.

Alongside other projects, we were shown how to develop the very basics of a roguelike dungeon crawler game.

Through this course I was able to pickup lots of new information regarding game development such as creating enemy AI as well as setting up and using A* pathfinding.

The game is currently playable with only a couples of levels however, this project provided me with valuable information that I can now use for future projects that require sophisticated enemy AI behaviour.

This was a great starting point to begin the development of own projects. One day, I might come back to this project to greatly improve it with the skills and knowledge I will acquire over the years of learning games development.
